Important - You can only send messages if you have installed and configured a copy of Mail Agent, which is included with the RemoteMail distribution. When you purchase Remote Mail, you also receive a license MailAgent Lite. Compose View
The Compose view allows users to compose and send messages. It takes as input an optional command, reply, which is set to a message number. If this command is present, the tags (see list below) are filled with data from the indicated message. Otherwise, the tags are blank.
Tags Supported
- [from] - The ID of the user sending the message. This is always available, even when you aren't replying to an old message. This is the value that will appear in the From line of the outgoing email.
- [recipients] - The original sender of the message.
- [cc] - The original Cc recipients of the message
- [subject] - The original subject of the message, with "Re:" prepended if appropriate.
- [body] - the original body of the message, quoted with "%lt;" characters at the begining of each line.
Sending the Message
The presence of the send command in the form causes Remote Mail to look for the following fields, which are then turned into an email message and sent.In a future version of Remote Mail, more lattitude might be allowed in the email headers. If you own a copy of Net.Dream's Flexmail product, you can use it for sending the messages instead. It allows you complete freedom to add custom headers to a message.
- recipients - Who will receive the message
- cc - carbon-copy recipients
- bcc - blind-carbon-copy recipients
- subject - the subject
- body - the body of the message
